Dr. Tyler Hodges

Director for DEI Training and Community Support; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The University of Tampa

Dr. Tyler Hodges is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. She is passionate about cultivating a sense of belonging and connection for students and staff of color through workshops, training, and cocurricular programming. She has been an avid student affairs practitioner and community builder in a variety of functional areas such as Multicultural Affairs, Housing & Residential Life, Religious Life, Student Advising, Graduate Engagement, and Parent & Family Programs at institutions across the country. Dr. Hodges’ research area centers on leveraging Black Feminist Thought as a framework for the retention and holistic support of Black Women professionals at Predominantly White Institutions. Tyler is a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, karaoke, and podcasting with her women empowerment organization, Sister Soul Glow!
