Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some common questions pertaining to NASPA virtual learning and Online Learning Community (OLC). If you have additional questions, please reach out to virtuallearning@naspa.org. 

How long do webinars last?

Webinars can range from 60-90 minutes. Most webinars are 60 minutes unless otherwise indicated in the Online Learning Community (OLC) 

Where can I access the webinarI purchased?

All webinars and on-demand offerings are in the OLC. Once a webinar is purchased, it will be available in your Dashboard with all other purchased virtual programs and events. 

Will the webinar be recorded?

Yes, the recording will be in your Dashboard in the OLC. If you registered for a webinar, the recordings are sent out within 48 hours of the event.

Are the webinars live or pre-recorded?

All webinars are live unless otherwise indicated. 

Can I watch the webinar with colleagues?

When you register for a virtual event, the only person with access to the event in the OLC will be the individual who purchased the product. The webinar link can not be shared. However, we encourage team-building and community professional development. If you want to watch the webinar as a team or group, you can join from one computer and watch it in a conference room or gathering space. The recording will only be available to those who register for the event.

How long will I have access to the webinar recording?

The webinar recording is available for 365 days after the live event. 

I’m interested in presenting a webinar. What are my next steps?

Fill out the Presenter Interest Form on the Home page of the OLC. 

Can non-members register for the webinar?

Yes, the non-member price for webinars is $179.

How long are short courses?

Short courses vary depending on content and course but usually run from four to six weeks. 

What if I can’t attend the live session in a short course?

Live sessions are mandatory for the successful completion of a course. Most live sessions are recorded; however, the final decision on live session completion is up to the course faculty. 

Will virtual learning events and programs offer closed captioning?

Yes, all virtual learning events are hosted on Zoom, which as closed captioning available. If you need additional accommodation to participate in any virtual event or course fully, please indicate that request in your registration answers when asked about accessibility-related accommodations.
