Congratulations! You've made it to this season of "Speed Networking Island". This season is all about making professional connections with other Emerging Professionals in NASPA, and maybe making some Student Affairs Friends along the way. Participants will be given lists of fun and thoughtful prompts that foster conversation and encourage connection. Every five minutes, you'll meet a new person, and maybe find your long-lost professional connection! Join our event and expand your professional network!
Learning Outcomes:
- Participants will engage in thoughtful dialogue about current topics in student affairs.
- Participants will be able to foster connections with other emerging professionals in the field.
- Participants will foster connections outside of the event by utilizing Linkedin and other professional connection platforms.
Taaron Branch
Student Success Coach
University of Maryland, Global Campus
Taaron S. Branch (she/her/hers) is a Student Success Coach in the Office of Student Success at the University of Maryland Global Campus and a graduate student at Nova Southeastern University, pursuing a master’s degree in Higher Education College Administration with a concentration in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. She currently serves as President of the College Student Affairs Association at Nova and is active nationally as a member of the Marketing and Communications Committee for NASPA’s New Professional and Graduate Student Steering Committee, as well as Student Outreach Chair on the NASPA Florida Board.
Recognized for her leadership and commitment to student engagement, Taaron has received awards such as Student Affairs Co-Curricular Advisor of the Year (2024). Fun fact: she completed an internship with Carnival Cruise Lines. She is passionate about student advocacy, leadership development, and creating supportive environments that empower students to thrive academically and professionally
