NASPA Peer Education Advisors Continuing Education - Summer 2024 Package provides access to all seven of the webinar sessions held this summer and access to the recorded sessions for 365 days. Hosted by Peer Education Initiatives, each session will provide peer education advisors and campus administrators with research based strategies, skills, and tactics to enhance their approach to peer education, prevention, and student support. Plus earn CSAEd CE Credit.

Prescription Drug Misuse Prevention

The CPE Supplemental Module on Prescription Drug Misuse Prevention provides students with a comprehensive understanding of prescription medications, their proper usage, and the challenges associated with misuse. The module delves into the prescription process, explores the factors contributing to misuse within college environments, and equips students with the skills to design and implement effective prevention programs.

Cannabis Prevention

The CPE Supplemental Module on Cannabis Prevention provides students with a comprehensive understanding of cannabis and its significance within the higher education context. Throughout this course, students will review cannabis, its use and effects, and how they as peer educators can increase knowledge, set students up to change behaviors, and build awareness and make policy solutions.

Mental Health and Well-being

The CPE Supplemental Module on CPE Supplemental Module on Mental Health and Well-being provides students with a comprehensive understanding of mental health and its significance within the higher education context. Students will learn different models of mental health and well-being, ranging from deficit-based approaches to holistic and systemic perspectives. Understanding these models will enable students to appreciate the complexity of mental health issues and approach their role as a peer educator with empathy, compassion, and a broader perspective.
